Seeing the need for highly adaptable, specialized consultation work, Brad Roeth started Watersmith Engineering in 2013 and has been serving Municipal, Utility, and Private clients in eastern Iowa ever since. Prior to Watersmith, Brad had worked for 15 years as a Civil and Environmental Engineer for a global consulting firm.

Brad Roeth is the owner and senior engineer at Watersmith Engineering. He has been solving water challenges for his clients since 1997. Starting with his Master's program at Iowa State, he updated the PC-Val hydraulic software for Iowa DOT. In 1998, Brad joined Stanley Consultants. He worked on projects ranging from highway drainage in Jamaica to a 9.5 mgd membrane water treatment plant in Mason City, Iowa.
In 2005, Brad became the Operations Manager for a 50+ member office in West Palm Beach, Florida. He served on and led design teams for pump stations and water control structures. Among the most memorable projects was a 1500 cfs pump station and several water control structures that comprised part of the Everglades restoration effort in south Florida.
From 2010 to 2013, Brad served municipal clients and the US Army Corps of Engineers as a project manager and design lead: Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Clinton, USACE Rock Island District, USACE St. Louis District.
